Launching a new website is always exciting—especially when you’re a digital marketing professional who understands SEO, content strategy, and traffic growth.
But sometimes, the digital world teaches you lessons the hard way.
This is the story of how I launched TheTrendyTalk.com, how it got hit with a Google Spam Manual Action, and how I successfully recovered it—with patience, strategy, and a commitment to quality.
Today, I’m sharing my journey openly so no one makes the mistakes I made, and so anyone facing a manual action can find hope in the process.
How It All Started — A New Domain, Big Plans, and Fast Execution
I purchased TheTrendyTalk.com on 12 August 2025, with a simple idea:
“Pick trending keywords and publish AI-generated blogs, then use SEO to grow fast.”
As an SEO expert, I thought this strategy would help me generate traffic quickly. So I built a 100% blogging-focused website with categories like:
- Technology
- Science
- World Politics
- Lifestyle
- Sports
- Trending topics
Thanks to AI tools, I designed the entire website within a few days.
Then I picked keywords from Google Trends and wrote blog posts using ChatGPT—4 articles in each category within just 4–5 days.
Everything looked perfect.
My structure was clean.
My content volume was increasing daily.
And I was extremely excited to launch my new blog.
The Traffic Shock: 50+ Visits Daily Without Ranking?
Within the first few days, Google Analytics started showing:
- Avg 40+ visitors on every new blog per day
- Traffic from USA, UK, Singapore, China, Canada, and other high-CTR countries

For a brand-new website, this looked like a dream.
But something felt wrong.
In Google Search Console, I wasn’t getting even a single impression.
Not a single keyword.
Not a single indexed page.
Not a single click.
Nothing.
I checked:
- robots.txt
- .htaccess
- Sitemap
- Server configuration
- Domain WHOIS history
Everything looked fine.
But search console still showed zero activity.
The Turning Point — A Shocking Discovery
While investigating domain history, I found something strange:
Google Search Console showed activity for my domain back in December 2020.
But I bought the domain on 12 August 2025.
How was this possible?
That’s when I realized—
this domain had a previous history, and something about that past triggered a manual action.
Shortly after, I received the message:
“Your site is affected by Spam-related manual action.”

My heart dropped.
I had built everything with excitement, but now my website was considered spam before it even started ranking.
The Cleanup: Removing Backlinks, Fixing Site Structure & Rebuilding Trust
After the shock came action.
I immediately checked backlinks and found:
- 29+ backlinks
- DA: 7
- Suspicious patterns

I disavowed all backlinks using the Google Disavow Tool.
Then I reviewed every part of my content. ChatGPT (my trusted assistant throughout the journey) helped me understand what was wrong.
ChatGPT told me about the importance of:
- EEAT – Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trust
- High-quality, original content
- Real author profiles
- Clear About Me page
- Authentic experience-driven blogs
- Avoiding AI-mass-generated content
That’s when I took the most important decision:
The Transformation — Turning My Blog Into a Hybrid Personal Portfolio
Instead of running a generic AI-driven blog, I rebuilt The Trendy Talk into a Hybrid Personal Portfolio + Blogging Website.
I redesigned:

Then I rewrote my content to reflect:
- My real experience
- My 7-year digital marketing journey
- Real case studies
- Real SEO results
- My expertise as a digital consultant
Every article was rewritten to be more human, more personal, and more authentic.
This time, it felt right.
Reconsideration Request — Submitted on 9 November 2025
After cleaning the site, rewriting everything, adding real EEAT elements, and improving content quality, I submitted my reconsideration request on:
• 9 November 2025

And yes—the reconsideration letter was also written with ChatGPT’s help
Then the waiting started.
14 November 2025 — The Day Everything Changed
On the evening of 14 November 2025, I received the email:
“Reconsideration request approved.”

Google finally removed the manual action.
I can’t express the happiness and relief I felt at that moment.
After weeks of frustration, uncertainty, and fear, my website was finally clean and trusted again.
What I Learned From This Entire Journey
This journey taught me priceless lessons that every SEO professional and blogger should know:
1. Domain history matters
Always check a domain’s past before buying.
2. AI content is powerful, but it must be guided
Human insight + AI = best combo.
3. Google values EXPERIENCE more than volume
Your personal voice matters.
4. EEAT is not optional anymore
It is the foundation of trust.
5. Manual actions are not the end
With patience and honesty, recovery is possible.
Tips for Anyone Facing a Manual Action
